Here are the guideline for the challenge:
I hope you'll all join me in the challenge, and by doing so may we all find some superior, memorable reads along the way.
You can sign up anytime prior to January 1, 2010, once you've created your "tentative list". (I'll be creating my list tomorrow).
REMEMBER: Your list MUST BE finalized prior to January 1, 2010 (no substitutions after that date).http://bibliophilebythesea.blogspot.com/2009/10/books-to-read-before-i-die-challenge.html
- Between now and December 31, 2009, make a list of between 10 and 20 Books to Read Before You Die. (depending on interest, this may be an annual event challenge).
- The books on your list can come from your stacks or the library, and be in print or audio format.
- Once you've created your post with tentative titles, THEN sign up using Mr. Linky, by pasting the link to your post, along with your name/blog name. This is how you will be registered. Finalize your list by 12/31/09 (no changes to the list after 12/31/09).
- NOTE: If you don't have a blog, you can still sign up and join in the fun.
- All bloggers who complete the challenge will be entered in giveaway to win an Amazon Gift Card.
- Questions/comments, please feel free to comment or email me.

I am going to start joining challenges again. I decided not to join any for 2009 so I could get caught up on review copies and read some books from my shelves. The shelf thing hasn't been very successful, seems like I've only added more to them, but I have bridled myself in with regards to review copies.
My first challenge is Heidenkind's Art History Challenge. The challenge is to read 6 books and runs from Sep 1, 2009 - May 1, 2010. I'm focusing on the Fiction Category. Here are the books I've picked so far:
1. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
2. The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova
3.
4.
5.
6.

I made it through MOST of 2009 without taking on one, single challenge. It's been a good year but I'm ready to enter the challenge arena once again. I decided rather than bog my book blog down I would keep track of my challenges on a different site, besides I love to come up with new backgrounds.
